Award-winning B2B supplier of mobile and front-end technology, mkodo, has officially launched GeoLocs, its geolocation verification service, built exclusively for the iGaming industry.
Compliant with some of the strictest regulations across Canada, GeoLocs, is trusted by leading iGaming operators helping them to quickly and seamlessly ensure their apps and websites are in line with regulations by verifying player location.
Through advanced technology developed in-house, GeoLocs uses the latitude and longitude of a device as well as IP location to verify a player’s position. The service can seamlessly be implemented into operators’ web, iOS and Android platforms, while players are not required to download additional companion apps, enhancing the user experience and simplifying the all-important player onboarding process.
GeoLocs also goes a step further, enabling operators to target players within a specified geo area with promotional offers and various geo-based marketing communications.
The service has been live and used by mkodo’s iGaming partners for over 10 years, making it one of the leading geolocation services dedicated to the iGaming sector. Through mkodo, GeoLocs is certified and licensed in Ontario and British Colombia in Canada, two markets where geolocation is crucial for licensed operators to ensure their players are located within the regulated provinces.
Stuart Godfree, Managing Director and co-founder of mkodo, said: “Our GeoLocs solution is a mature and proven product, having been live and evolved over the last 10 years with some of our exclusive partners.
“We are thrilled to now be able to offer GeoLocs to a wider audience, at a time when a number of emerging markets, particularly in North America, require a solid, smooth and trustworthy geolocation solution to ensure full compliance.”
mkodo is exhibiting at ICE London between February 7-9 and can be found at Stand S4-401 where attendees can learn more about the GeoLocs solution and other products and services offered.
