Stockholm, May 17th, 2019 – Valeria Russo, Account Manager at Swedish slot specialist Quickspin, a Playtech Group company, won the ‘Star of the Future’ award at the prestigious Women in Gaming Diversity Awards in London last night.

Valeria has been working in the gaming industry for over 6 years, and she’s been with Quickspin since 2018.

Quickspin was nominated for no less than 6 awards in this year’s WIG Awards. The company as a whole was nominated for both Best Place to Work and Company of the Year, and in addition to Valeria’s ‘Star of the Future’ award, these individuals were also nominated:Emilie Zamponi, Gamification Sales Director, B2B Excellence Award; Sandra Lindberg, HR Manager, Leader of the Year Award, and Tetyana Matvyeyeva, Agile Project Manager, Market & Integrations, Young Leader of the Year Award.

The Women in Gaming Diversity Awards is hosted by The International Gaming Awards (IGA), which is known as the ‘Oscars of the Gaming Industry’. The WIG Diversity Awards state on their website that they are “a superb opportunity for employers to recognize wellbeing and diversity within their organization and the contribution it has on the success to their business”. WIG Diversity Awards 2019 took place at the Savoy Hotel in London on the 16th of May.
