Before looking ahead at our exciting plans for 2023, it is worth celebrating some of the successes and most noteworthy parts of another incredibly busy and successful year, which has seen Kalamba Games continue its march to the forefront of the iGaming industry.
2022 saw us launch 19 new slots across a wide range of themes that have added to our growing library of entertaining titles. Most recently December saw the launch of Joker Max: Hit ‘n’ Roll Xmas Edition which built upon the popular title Joker Max: Hit ‘n’ Roll and added a festive twist to the player favourite game. Snow and christmas lights adorn the reels and classic festive music can be heard throughout play, truly encapsulating the magic of this seasonal period.
However it was Holmes Reel Detective that kicked off the year in January and featured numerous features and mechanics that worked in tandem to deliver players both entertainment and huge winning potential. We then jumped from the streets of Victorian England to the pantheon of Greek Gods in Super Size Atlas providing changing reel sizes and our innovative K-Boost feature for players to enjoy. Soon after we updated numerous slot enthusiasts’ favourite titles, with the introduction of the Hit ‘n’ Roll mechanic into many of our most popular games. This increased the opportunities for players to win and the engagement each already-proven hit had to offer.
These commercial and critical successes paved the way for the genre-defining partnership with Big Time Gaming that we undertook in Spring 2022. This allowed us to make use of the hugely popular Megaways™ feature within our slots for the first time, which saw Kalamba Games later in the year launch Rumble Ratz Megaways™, Machina Reloaded Megaways™ and Phat Cats Megaways™ to an eager audience of players looking for a revolutionary upgrade on the tried and tested formula.
From a commercial standpoint, Kalamba Games also evolved as a company. Near the start of the year, the hugely experienced Andrew Crosby became our Chief Commercial Officer and has expertise oversaw a host of key partner agreements, integrations and game launches. We have since allied with numerous tier-one operators including 888 Casino and Betsson Group, along with entering new markets like Ontario for the first time.
All these exciting undertakings have given us the strongest foundations possible, as we look ahead to 2023 and building upon these accomplishments. Learning from the popular re-release of some of our most adored titles now encompassing the Hit ‘n’ Roll feature we aim to re-release numerous slots from our portfolio however now making use of our new Mini-Max feature. This will provide players with both lower and higher stakes to enjoy along with providing variable RTP which will allow us to enter more markets that require alternate RTP percentages within their jurisdiction.
